Enter your email and password.
Create a new account. One account per household: individuals use their own name, couples and families pick a joined name (e.g. "Tom & Rosa") and share one profile + login.
If your name was already in the group before accounts existed, you have a pre-seeded account. Claim it by sending yourself a password-reset email — enter the email address you'd like to use going forward, and we'll match you up.
If you don't remember which placeholder email was used for your seeded account, contact Tom and he'll tell you or switch it to your real email.

If you're already in the group (WhatsApp / questionnaire)
An account has been pre-created for you. Your data (role, skills, location, goals, etc.) is already attached — you just need to claim the login.
- Send Tom a message with the email address you want to use for Hands & Land.
- He'll switch your pre-seeded account over to your real email (takes ~30 seconds in the Supabase dashboard).
- Come back to this page, click Forgot password, enter the email you gave Tom, and follow the reset link in your inbox.
- The link lands you on the Account page already signed in. Scroll to the "Change password" card and set a new password there — if you skip this step the reset only logs you in temporarily and your next login will fail. Save, then log out and back in with your new password to confirm.
- Head back to the Account page to check your profile details. Couples and families share one profile — the name field is the joined form (e.g. "Tom & Rosa").
Why not email you directly? The seeded placeholder emails (like tom-rosa@seed.handsandland.local) aren't real inboxes, so Supabase can't send a password-reset link until we swap in your actual address.
If you're new to the group
- Click Create account above.
- Pick an account name that covers everyone on this login — e.g. "Jane & Amir" for a couple, "Sam Taylor" for an individual. You can change it later.
- Confirm your email via the link Supabase sends you.
- Log in and go to the Account page. Fill in your profile — role, skills, location, and what you're hoping to get out of the project.
- Head to Properties — the rest of the group will see your votes immediately.
How voting works
Voting isn't just a thumbs-up — it's a structured pledge that lets the group see where interest + money + earnings are converging on each site.
- Capital pledge — how much you could put in up-front, plus when (e.g. "£150k, dependent on house sale in 6 months").
- Rent pledge — which living space on this property you'd take (dropdown of dwellings extracted from the listing) and how much you'd pay per month.
- Income projections — for each feature of the property you'd use (main barn, paddock, annex, etc.), year-by-year £ you expect to generate (e.g. workshops in the main barn: £5k year 1, £10k year 2, £15k year 3).
Your numbers fold into the headline totals on each card — so as pledges come in, the properties where the group's vision and finances actually line up rise to the top.
Couple and family accounts
One login, one shared profile. The profile name is the joined form ("Tom & Rosa") and votes are cast as a household — there's one capital pledge, one rent pledge, and one set of income projections per property per account.
Privacy
Member details, votes, and pledges are visible only to logged-in members. The public homepage and map show properties and top candidates but no personal pledges.
